Bon Jour from Paris!

We've made it to Paris safe and sound! Our plane rides were uneventful, even if we didn't get as much sleep as we had hoped. We arrived in Paris on time and God was with us the whole way. As we were leaving the baggage claim area, we were approached by a mini-bus (sort of like a mini mini-van) driver who was able to give us a ride into the city. We had been told that our small apartment might not be available until 3pm, but when we arrived around noon it was ready to go and we got to check in early. PTL! We are staying in an area of Paris called Place d'Italie. It was once like Littly Italy, but they say is more like Chinatown now! Ruthie should fit right in if that is true. Tonye met with Armand from Agape France(Campus Crusade) last night and we should have an opportunity to minister with him several times while we are here. The ministry opportunities to students here are immense. Of the 2.5 million students in France, 25% are in Paris alone. That is 520,000 students in a city where Evangelical Christians make up only .01% of the population.

Since we haven't seen much of the city yet I am posting pictures from before we left. The Israel team packed up all the relief goods on Sunday afternoon, smiling the whole way! Sunday afternoon Chante got to dance at a Morro Bay Christmas Tree Lighting. And the last picture are of our flight from Cincinatti to Paris! Keep us in prayer as we battle jet lag and traverse this beautiful "City of Lights".
